All premises will be closed in MP: You will not be able to drink liquor while sitting at the liquor shop, shops will not run within 100 meters from the school-college, religious place

 

The pressure of former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti's campaign against liquor has shown its effect. Shivraj cabinet has approved the new excise policy 2023-24 in Madhya Pradesh. Under this, now liquor will not be able to be consumed by sitting at liquor shops. That is, there will be sale of liquor from the shops, but sitting there will not be allowed to drink. Along with this, all the courtyards in the state will also be closed.

This decision was taken in the Shivraj cabinet meeting held on Sunday. The new liquor policy was discussed and approved in the meeting. Under which it was decided that now liquor shops will not operate within a radius of 100 meters from religious and educational institutions, girls schools, girls colleges, hostels. Earlier this distance was 50 meters.

After the meeting, Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra told that no new liquor shop has been opened in the state since 2010, rather liquor shops have been closed.

64 shops were closed during the Narmada Seva Yatra. Now all the enclosures in the state are being closed. Similarly, alcoholic beverages were permitted in shop bars. Only liquor will be sold from liquor shops, but sitting and drinking will not be allowed. Licenses of those who drive after drinking alcohol will also be suspended.

Uma Bharti has been protesting continuously

Former Chief Minister Uma Bharti has been trying to amend the liquor policy for a long time. For this, she has been continuously opposing her own government. He threw stones at a liquor shop in Bhopal. A few days back, I had camped till the temple. Not only this, she has even expressed her anguish by writing a letter to BJP National President JP Nadda.

 

License on category is available in two ways - This is an enclosure, in which along with the liquor shop, there is arrangement for sitting here and drinking. Approval has to be taken for this.

Off Category - This is a shop bar. Liquor is sold from here, but there is no arrangement for drinking, but by paying two percent of the shop's license fee to the Excise Department, drinking arrangements can be made here.

Relief amount increased in natural calamities

The cabinet has also approved increasing the relief amount to compensate for the damage caused by natural calamities. The criteria of RBC 6/4 has been revised. Home Minister Narottam Mishra said that during the time of Congress, farmers were given relief amount like cumin in the mouth of a camel. We are continuously increasing the relief amount at the time of natural calamity and other calamities by amending RBC 6-4.

Know, in which disaster how much relief amount will be given

In case of flood, landslide, the relief amount has been increased from Rs 37,500 to Rs 47,000.

In case of loss of milch cattle, buffalo, cow etc. in natural calamity, its amount has been increased from Rs.30,000 to Rs.37,500.

The relief amount has also been increased from Rs 3,000 to Rs 4,000 for the loss of sheep and goats.

In case of loss of non-milch animals, bulls and horses, the relief amount has been increased from Rs 16,000 to Rs 32,000.

Relief amount has also been increased on the loss of animals like calf, donkey.

Relief amount has been increased from Rs 70 per day to Rs 80 per day for keeping animals affected by natural outbreaks in temporary camps. Small animals have been increased from Rs.35 to Rs.45. Even the amount of chicken has been increased from 60 to 100 rupees.

The relief amount on the loss of slum hut has been increased from 6000 to 8000. The relief amount has been increased from 2000 to 3000 on the loss of animals living inside them.

New Tehsil in Gwalior

Permission was granted for formation of new Tehsil in Gwalior. 36 Patwari Halke will be included in this tehsil. The headquarter of the new proposed tehsil will be Gwalior. In this, the boundaries of Gwalior, Lashkar Tehsil, Murar Tehsil, City Center will be completely changed. For this, 8 posts have also been created. The cabinet has also approved the expenditure on setting up the office.

 750-bed hospital approved in Satna A

750-bed hospital was approved for a medical college with 150 MBBS seats in Satna. For its operations, approval was given to create a total of 1589 posts including 1092 regular and 497 contractual. An expenditure of Rs 72.5 crore was approved for the creation of 1092 regular posts and Rs 6.19 crore for 497 contractual posts.

4160 crore approved for repair of bad roads.

4160 crore was approved for the strengthening of damaged roads in different districts of the state.
